    MSN "Live"

What Grinds My Gears is MSN Spaces…

    Read on.

Wow what an exciting day this is! It seems MSN Spaces has changed the layout and the entire set up, and you know what, I think it’s rad! To me it looks a lot cleaner, it’s easier to view as they actually use the entire screen now. It’s wonderful.

I think that they are trying to compete with the other blog sites available. I believe they have done a good job so kudos to MSN for finally doing something right. Hopefully they get started on an overhaul of Myspaces next.

This was the blog I wrote just after I saw the new layout for MSN Spaces, I was quite excited at the time as it does look quite snazzy. However when I went to post this blog I had realised my mistake. In the section where you write you blog, there was no place to actually write the freaking thing! You can put your category in and the title of the blog, but you can’t actually blog. How does this happen? Does anybody check this before they go about implementing their whole new design? To make it worse it left me with nothing to do, all I had left to do was work and that’s not on!

    Commit-a-phoebes

What Grinds My Gears Are people who can’t commit to doing anything. I’m not talking about relationships because that’s serious business and shouldn’t be taken too lightly. I’m talking about general things like going to the movies, or a pub, random everyday happenings and outings. I understand you can’t commit to these things all the time, but by my calculations, you should be able to fully commit yourself maybe 75-80% of the time. There are some situations where you can’t fully commit such as you may be seeing family or you’ll be elsewhere and are unsure about when you can leave.

I’m talking about those who don’t commit because they are waiting for better offers. I don’t know if they understand (this is partially the reason why I’m writing this, just so they actually know) how rude this is, and how rejected and unwanted the person who is organising the may feel. These people usually only commit 40-50% of the time, when really t isn’t that hard to say you’ll be somewhere or do something and actually be there.

What are your thoughts on people who do this?

    Public Nose Pickers

What really grinds my gears are people who pick their noses in cars. It’s disturbing to glance to your side and see someone picking their nose. Now I don’t mind a good nose pick now and then (yes its true) but generally I’m in the shower or have a tissue handy when I do this, in the privacy of my own home mind you (sorry about the over share), my nose is pretty big so it needs a good clean out from time to time. Do people realise that cars have windows, and that you can see through them. It’s just not cool!

We once had a guy at work that would pick his nose and eat it. The thing was he was not ashamed of this at all. Everyone knew because he told you, he was almost proud. Picking your nose is one thing, eating it takes it to a whole new level of “eew”. You could quite often glance over and see him chowing down on a nice ripe booger, bah!

That’s what really grinds my gears.

    People on the "Bandwagon"

What Grinds My Gears are people who jump on the bandwagon. Recently one of the bandwagons passing through is the “soccer bandwagon”, and how popular it is all of the sudden. Don’t get me wrong it’s great for the sport, but you get these idiot, boof head, knob jockeys that know little or nothing about the sport their cheering about. Another bandwagon that has rolled into town is the “poker bandwagon”, now you have these people who think they are gods gift to the game all over the place. When in fact they are the most frustrating type of people you can meet. There are 2 types of annoying poker players, the 1st are the ones who believe they know everything about the game and try to sound like a pro. They will sit at a table and spout utter crap about things like how a hand should be played, talk about bad beats when really they were just stupid or simply act like arrogant scumbags because they have read up on the rules. The 2nd type of mentally challenged poker players are people who call for no good reason, not because they think a person is bluffing but because they are chasing cards. They will go in on a raised pot with nothing, like 3 hearts and 7 diamonds against someone with a legitimate hand like AK, QK etc or even pocket pairs. Often the flop will come out and they will land nothing and you hit your pair or the pocket pair is easily higher than what was dealt. You raise, they call….. With nothing! However, the turn comes and they hit there 3’s, if you have your pocket pair or your previously made pair off the flop your easily ahead, they should know this. You raise again, they call again, stupidly, chasing cards like an idiot. Out comes the river and BAM they hit another 3 or get their second pair and your screwed. In the long run these types of players will lose their money, but with so many of these people around it is starting to happen more often, which is what really grinds my gears!
